The Phil. goes through calamity after calamity and the world does not seem to be aware of it. Not even this, (with its magnitude and devastating effects to human lives) has been given the exposure, that other world calamities have been given. Only when there are foreign lives affected is when the press seems to be interested in such cases, like the tsunami, for instance. Had the casualties been limited to locals then, I wonder if the rest of the world would have cared. Just like now.
