The website is finally getting underway, though I’m not sure how many people know about it and are reading it yet. We still have a little work to do to finish some of the features, but God has been so good to us! We hope that this will be one means of helping to make our region more united, to be One. We want and we need to hear from you of what God is doing where you live, what vision God is giving you for ministry and where God is leading you.

If we are all one body then everything that affects on part of the body affects the whole body. So your stories, your concerns, your victories are important and we need to hear about them! If you have internet and people in your country do not then be a messenger of God’s work from them to us. Please send us your stories, send us your concerns, send us your victories; send it!

In the book of Joshua the Isrealites are about to cross over the Jordan river. In a battle the crossing of a river is always difficult and dangerous. However God had different plans of how His people would cross the river and go into the promised land that He had already promised them. In the middle of this God tells Joshua “This day I will begin to exalt you in the sight of all Israel, so that they may know that I will be with you as I was with Moses.” (3.7) Israel did not even get their feet wet as God parted the river and confirmed not only to Israel that Joshua was God’s leader for them, but confirmed to those all in the land of Canaan that the God of Israel was a powerful God.

‘I will be with you…. so that they may know.’ This is a theme throughout the Old Testament. God was with Israel and did miraculous things for Israel, so that the world may know that He alone was God. God does miracles, wonders, and mighty acts for a reason; that others may see and know He is God. God is blessing your lives, your churches, your districts, your nations not only for you, but that others may see, may be encourages, may be challenged, and may know that He alone is God!

All through the Old Testament Israel sinned in many different ways, but one of the ways they they continually sinned was they forgot what God had done for them. They forgot to tell the stories and share the stories of all God had done. They thought that God’s blessings were only for them and not to be shared with others. They forgot the stories of God’s faithfulness and deliverance.

Sharing our stories with each other is not just so we can have a cool website or a good newsletter. They are reminders of what God has done and who He is. These are very important things! Your stories will encourage, your stories will challenge, God will use what God may be wanting to use your stories to help give vision for other districts, other countries or for our region! We, the NYI of the Asia-Pacific region are One, so let’s share the stories and testimonies of what our One God has done for us!
