Philippines – NYC 2007: Day 3 by APNYI Admin
Day three of the Pilipinas NYC 2007 started with a worship service about ‘Hope that leads to mission’ led by Rev. Monte Cyr. Rev. Cyr discussed feelings of hopelessness in a variety of situations and how we, as God’s followers, can find hope and share that hope with everyone around us. Following the worship service, a plenary session was held in which global, regional, and national leaders shared stories and their goals for the future of NYI in the Philippines.
After lunch, all participants and staff loaded into jeepeneys and began the Baguio city tour. The first stop was strawberry fields where participants enjoyed walking through the fields and sampling fresh strawberries. We then went to the Philippine Military Academy and Minesview, a beautiful outlook over the city of Baguio.
It began to get dark, all jeepeneys headed to SM mall where NYC bands gave a concert that the mall will surely never forget! Screaming NYC fans, along with passersby at the mall, enjoyed an evening of music while the bands professed to everyone that could hear the amazing love of Christ and the difference He makes in our lives. The highlight of the evening was the last performance where all the bands came on stage to sing the NYC theme song, ‘Isa.’

This was truly a meaningful event that will remain in the memories of all who were there for quite some time.

wow! grabe! the after lunch activity was really great and more fun!
though our group spent only few minutes in Philippine Military Academy (PMA) and after that we went immediately to SM Baguio to see the setup of the stage for the NYC concert…
though there was a miscommunication on the schedule given for the concert, the rest of the NYC team still made the concert very successful!!!
ASTEEEG TALAGA!!! Praises be to God!!!

This event is a manifestation of JC’s word ” …go forth for they are ripe unto harvest ” the youth has all the opportunity to harvest the souls in the field!… More power & wisdom to APNYI! Glory to God.
