Pastors Samuel and Ully are living at the Youth Center, in Lospalos, with seven guys until a suitable house is found for them. On their second night there they had had a long discussion about many things and were preparing to go to bed. They were holding hands and praying together with the young men when one of the guys fell on the floor in what appeared to be a convulsion. As they tried to move him to a bed he continued to convulse and began shouting and talking. Everyone was praying and they sang some songs as well. He continued to shout so Pastor Samuel asked him; “What is your name”. The boy said his name was “Dedi”. So Pastor Samuel asked him again, because that was not the boy’s name. Then Samuel demanded, in the name of Jesus, that the evil spirit come out of him. After continuing to pray and demanding, in the name of Jesus, for the evil spirit to come out, the boy grew calm. When Pastor Samuel asked the boy his name this time he said, “Idelfonso”. That is his correct name. They had a wonderful time of prayer and praising God, and Idelfonso asked Christ to come into his life and fill his heart! God is still in the business of replacing darkness with light!

Idelfonso is one of the top students in secondary school in East Timor. He has been, up to this semester, living and going to school at the Catholic Seminary. He is well known for his ability to fight and sometimes people have asked him to help them beat up people for them. He got kicked out of the Catholic school because he beat up on the teachers one too many times! So, the Nazarenes took him into the youth center and he now a child of God! Please pray for Idelfonso as he grows in his new faith in Christ and enjoys the freedom of not being bound by Satan.
