Southeast Asia Field Names New NYI Coordinator by APNYI Admin
Youth under the age of 30 make up at least 80% of the population of SEAsia, and the majority of them are yet unreached by the Gospel. The Southeast Asia Field is intentionally focusing ministry personnel and resources to address this area of great need.
Field Strategy Coordinator, Rolf Kleinfeld announced this week the appointment of Australian missionary Belinda Allder as the new NYI Coordinator for Southeast Asia. Prior to this assignment she has been serving as a regional missionary at Maetang Tribal Children’s Home for the past 5 years. She has coordinated the NAZ Care child sponsorship of the children at MTCH, coordinated several Youth in Mission teams, assisted in youth outreach to the tribal villages, and facilitated a student-led Christian club at a nearby government high school where the majority of students and teachers are Buddhist. “We believe with Belinda’s language skills, her close relationships with youth, and her own youthful spirit she is the ideal person for this role….as she works to develop youth leadership on the Southeast Asia Field,” Kleinfeld said.
Belinda’s vision for youth outreach and ministry can be summed up as “enabling youth to recognize the need to take responsibility to reach those around them.” She is most passionate about “being real in our relationship with Christ as we reach out to those around us.”—those in other tribes as well as ultimately in other parts of the world. Some of her first activities planned include leadership development of youth alongside national leaders to be intentional disciplers. Belinda summarizes her role as encouraging, equipping and empowering youth for leadership and discipleship.
Any current or future questions regarding the work of NYI on the Southeast Asia Field should be routed to Bellinda at dearbj@hotmail.com.
Please pray for Belinda as she helps Southeast Asia to make Christlike disciples among the youth of Southeast Asia.
