Thailand - A Patient Witness by APNYI Admin

A Patient WitnessEarly in September, Thailand District Nazarene Youth International President Suwisa “Go” Supunya had a serious motorbike accident that left her with a severely injured leg. She has pins in her left leg as it is broken in many places.

While hospitalized until early November, she was an encourager to everyone who visited. She was often heard saying, “I just want to thank God no matter what my circumstances. I want God to be glorified even now.”

In addition to her own joyful attitude, Supunya used the time in the hospital to witness to everyone there. She shared the room with a combined total of 11 other patients, all of whom are now her new friends as she shared the love of Jesus with them.

Supunya continually asked her visiting colleagues, even via SMS (Short Message Service—or text messaging), “Please don’t forget to pray for my new friends”. In fact, after one such text and during a visit by Thailand District Nazarene Missions International President Siripawn Malagul, Supunya shared that one of her hospital roommates received personal faith in Christ.

Currently, Supunya is living in a room at the Oikos Church of the Nazarene in Bangkok, Thailand, where her church family is caring for her while she awaits the removal of the pins in another month.

Prayer is requested for Supunya as she recovers, for her new sister in Christ, and for the many others who have been (and will be) touched by her “patient witness.”
